Why Sherefe?
Sherefe is Turkish for "CHEERS".
Owner/Chef Mustafa Somar dreamed for many years of owning
his own restaurant. Finally, on March
17, 2003, the dream became reality. Blending 30 years
of hospitality experience with a genuine love of people
and food, he opened Sherefe Mediterranean Grill. An
authentic Turkish restaurant which also features Greek,
Italian, seafood, vegetarian and vegan cuisines. Proudly
serving Fayetteville and Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Where We Came From
Hoping to spend more family time with their
children, Mustafa & Kathy moved from Orange County,
California in 2002. Mustafa has a passion and talent
for making delicious meals. Kathy spends most of her
time greeting customers and waiting tables. "We
want everybody that comes through the door to feel as
if they were coming into our house and truly hope they
feel as welcome". |

| WHAT
THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT US
On urbanspoon.com:
Sherry: "Everything
here is always fresh and tasty! The service is great too. They
have the best hummus I've ever tried. Just remember to save room
for dessert."
Steve Harper:
"Fantastic Middle Eastern food. (Has been renamed Sherefe)
Excellent food and service. "
Jeff Howitzer:
" I am a very picky person but when I went to this restaurant
I almost fell out of my chair. The food there is some of the best
food I have ever tasted. The food is cheap and very good. You have
to try it. "
On insiderpages.com:
Nicole N:
" A great spot for vegetarians too! I live in Fayetteville,
and this is my favorite restaurant. In fact, I go there once,
sometimes twice a week. Even with all the variety that this town
has to offer, Mediterranean Grill is still the best. I've tried
the Greek salad, tzatziki, hummus, feta, falafel, mujver, patlican
salata, ezme, tabouli, and sigara borek. It was all made fresh
and extremely yummy! My husband said the dolmas are also good.
The staff is very friendly, especially Jon. A
lot of the menu options are vegetarian, and many can be made vegan.
We were assured that the appetizers aren't fried with or in meat
grease. It just irritates
me that a delicious, healthy, family-owned restaurant like this
doesn't get more business. The nasty chain restaurants are always
packed while this place is severely overlooked. Now is a great
time to support a local, family-owned business that serves fresh,
healthy food and not some crap from a bag!
Chris V: "The
food here is GREAT! Anything you get hummus, kebabs, moussaka,
salads. They even have great veggie dishes! Mustafah and his family
are like family! This is my #1 fav restaurant to go to! My daughter
loves the kids doner plate! Everyone who works there are really
nice too!"
On 10best.com:
The food is authentic Turkish, delicious,
generous portions at a great price. Extensive vegetarian menu
and amazing soup.
